Recycling Ads

Today I wrote an ad that my client loved.  She has a coop to sell in Adams Morgan, and the coop market is not quite as hot as that for single family homes.  So I did a "Re-ad", using one that got a house sold in a crummy market a bunch of years ago.

It reads:

Motivated Seller...Just married the man of her dreams.  Must sell chic 2-bedroom bachelorette pad

Then there was stuff about the gorgeous wood floors, renovated kitchen, balcony and other cool stuff.  The last time I used it was the weird market of the early 1990's, and it got a plain Jane house sold really fast - and the first Open Hosue was crawling with single women, perhaps hoping for that good luck in love house?  Well, this is the good luck in love coop!   And I'm hoping it will bring us good luck in finding a buyer!

Of course, I'm taking no chances and will deliver the St. Anthony statue tomorrow!

I love it.  Re-Ad must be the first cousin of re-gifting.

I'm sure some of the eligible ladies might buy to see if it will work for them.

I have used the recycled ad many times. If you have a hot one don't be afraid to use it, but not to often or it will go cold.

Awesome ad. What a great idea. Can I plagiarize?

That's a good looking house or apartment.  How much is it?

What a fun idea.  It is at least likely to be an attention getter which is a great thing in this market.

I bet this house fly's off the shelves.  Never hurts to try something new.  Wonder what people would think If I did that for one of my listings.  LOL.

Pat I love your blog keep up the great work

Hi Pat... I re-Ad.  I say if it works once, it will likely work well again.  But I prefer to think of them as "Classic" ads rather than re-Ads!  :)

Pat,
I'm still laughing at Liz's comment.

Quite a clever ad, let us know how it goes.

Pat, that's a cute ad. St Anthony... I know he always helps me find things...but isn't St Joe the one for RE?
