One of the really fun parts of playing on Active Rain is meeting people who you've gotten to know from their blog posts. And some of us did that at a little gathering at my house last night.
Here are some of the photos I took - and most of them are not too embarrassing.
Here are Cindy Jones, Margaret Woda and Brian Block discussing the local market!
And here is one of Chris Griffith, in town from Bonita Springs, Florida, with Eric Webster, from Grand Rapids, Michigan.
And Washington's own James Downing chats with Bob and Donna Evers. Donna is my broker at Evers and Company.
Terry Westbrook, also from GrandRapids!
And Matthew Rosov, our local mortgage expert blogger says to lock in that interest rate!
Ken Montville is not nearly as loopy as he looks as he mugs for the camera!

Craig Barrett made it up here from Hughesville, Maryland and talks shop with Cindy Jones.
And John McCarthy and his wife dropped by after he finished with a traumatizing home inspection!
And finally, yes, Brian Block reported an Elvis sighting!
We have to do this stuff more often!

Patricia - Always very neat to see these gatherings. And Block's resemblance to 'The King' is uncanny!
Pat, where are the photos of YOU? Sounds like I missed a great party!
I had the same question as Eric - where are you in the photos, Pat? I see where Brian got the sideburn inspiration from now!
Jason, Yeah. But is Brian the young Elvis or the old Elvis?
Eric and Jason, I was holding the camer!
Patricia,
Your 'magnetism' and charm certainly draw a crowd!!! Thanks, Fran
WOW! That's a great gathering! It was so very nice of you to host it - and to bring the gang together!
Pat, thanks again for holding the party! You have a lovely home and it was great to meet and greet with old and new friends. How's the office cleanup project going?
All -- I don't know why there wasn't any photos of Pat. She was as lovely as a photo in a magazine! (G-rated, of course). Great party...and fun neighbors!
Company hell.........the brie was terrific.......those little shrimps scumptious and i finished off half the meatballs..................we should do this again..........jmac
Looks like it was a great party. It was nice of you to host it. Next time you have a party make sure someone takes some pictures of you.
Pat, thank you so much for opening your home to us! It was great to meet you and make new friends! Your home is very nice and you weren't kidding... there is plenty of parking.
Where's that end-of-party picture of you with your feet up?
I've got a photo of Pat -- just haven't had the chance to upload it yet today. I'll be back.
I recognized James Downing even without that floppy eared dog! What fun you all must have had.
What a fun city to live in.
Pat-thank you for letting us peek behind the curtain and see your lovely home. Glad Willie was able to make an appearance even if he was moving at the speed of light! Look forward to another gathering of the group. Anytime folks want to get out their passports and come my way they are welcome!
Fran, when you come to DC, let us know ahead of time and we can make it an excuse for another party!
Eleanor, hosting it was fun!
Brian, read the floor refinishing blog I just posted. Everything went into the office. What a mess!
Ken, G-rated? The only thing not G rated in my house is the leg humping doggy!
John, I am so glad you made it! Somehow, you don't strike me as the type who would let a little home inspection get in the way!
Gita, there were a few cameras snapping throughout the evening!
Craig, That would have made a great picture!
Barbara, James should have brought his pooch! He and Willie could have made it a play date!
Cindy, Margarita finally grabbed him and put him in the back yard. He's a handful!
Pat - so sorry I missed the big gathering at your house and the chance to meet some new and old AR friends, but was delighted to have you for an evening when I didn't have to share you. Thank's for the tour and Yanni's.
Pat~ looks like everyone had a great time! Thanks for letting us enjoy the party vicariously.
Pat, here's a picture of the tired "Hostess with the Mostest" near the end of the evening:
Hey, I took a photo of Pat with some of her guests, using her camera... Well, that's the privilege of the one posting the photos - she can choose to exclude one of herself! Seriously, it was a great party, and I enjoyed seeing old friends as well as meeting some more ActiveRainers. Pat has a lovely home, and she was a wonderful hostess. Thank you again, Pat!
Pat - How fun! It was a great idea to bring everybody together. I bet it a great time!
Not only did I miss out on a fun time, but I missed out on an Elvis sighting!! Patricia, thank you for the wonderful photos!
Here's a photo that Pat's in. Seems the conversation centered around home improvement. A great time, not a great photo.
Ya'll are a hoot. Thank you for hosting us Pat! I had a great time.
Thanks for hosting this, Pat! It was good meeting AR folk in RL!
I am so sorry we missed the party! I wish I had known sooner..I would have changed my plans. But we had blast at Clydes!
Pat- Looks like fun. It is alway great meeting fellow bloggers in person. I look forward to your future postings on the conference. Thanks for sharing.
Wish I had known more Active Rainer's were going to be in D.C. - when I sat at the NAR roundtables no one seemed to know what Active Rain was, let alone blogging!!
Pat, how much fun does this look ? Thanks for sharing photo's, now onto the juicy stories. LOL I can't wait to meet people this summer at INman.
Looks like a bunch of fun! I look forward to meeting some of my AR friends as well.
Pat, looks like you had a great party. I didn't even know NAR was in Washington I thought it was in Las Vegas.
Hi Pat, Looks like you guys had a great time!!! I love AR get togethers. You guys also look very well behaved. What's up with that? Not one person swinging from the chandelier. Maybe next time:)
What a kick! It is so much fun to meet others you have been talking to for years....isn't there a LV event coming up soon where we could all get together??????
Congratualtions on your gathering. I would like to get a AR gathering going in our area soon
I need someone to tell me if I had a good time Eric tells me I did. Too much wine, good thing Eric and Chris helped me back to the hotel. It was great! Thanks for spending the time and effort to allow us into your home and get to meet all the great faces I comment to everyday. Thanks again Pat. Terry
I keep hoping we can do a gathering in North Carolina...it would be so much fun. Clearly you all had a wonderful time. Thanks for sharing the photos with us!
I knew deep down there was a reason I liked you! I'm not the only one with a bust of Elvis in their house! I got one up on you I think, I have the Newspaper from Memphis the day after he died about the bust of Elvis. Got to meet one of his guitar players last year from 1955 and that was totally awesome for me!
What a wonderful gathering you all had! Great idea and glad it was such a success and you all had so much fun!
Pat, Sure looks like you had a wonderful party. Sorry I missed it. When you are in Baltimore, I would love to take you lunch. Please let me know when you are in the area!
Pat- I am so sorry I couldn't be there even though I said I was going to come. I am sure it was nice to finally see in person some of the people who have written blogs and responded to yours as well. Great post.
Pat, Enjoyed our conversation today. Please put a link to your new book so the Active Rainers can find it.
Pat ~ I am so sorry to have missed your fabulous party. It looks like you all had a great time, what a nice person you are to invite a bunch of bloggers to your house! Who knows what could have happened!!! Just kidding bloggers are the best, we all know that!
kk
Patricia, nice ThemThem post to the fine AR members! Looks like a good time was had by all.
Patricia.... sorry that I missed this one.... I was thinking about coming down and making a surprise guest appearance... but I had so many things pop up last minute.... the next one that you all do,I am in. Was Chris in town for pleasure? Business? Family?
Overall, looks like you all had a good time.
Chris was a guest speaker at a Realtor blogging forum. I think Monika McGillicuddy and a few others posted photos. Matt Rathbun has some too.
Oh what a blast we had Pat. Thanks a bunch for hosting. Have to do it again sometime!
Chris.... speaking in the 3rd person? ;o) Seriously though, hope you had a great time. And hope the realtor blogging forum went well...
Looks like everyone had a great time! Love the photos!!!
