Pat Kennedy - Your Washington, DC Real Estate Connection

Friday's Fotos: Oh! No! You idiot! You bought a PC instead of a Mac!

These two ladies have been standing in front of the US Capitol since 1878.  They are the Peace Monument that honors the naval officers and sailors who died during the Civil War.

If you want to see this 44-foot tall statue the next time you visit Washington, DC, you can find it just north of Pennsylvania Avenue, on First Street NW near the big national green house.

Lol - truly a contemporary dialog, Patrica. I had to drag my husband into my office to show him this - we're both still chuckling.

Love the caption, Patricia, although I've always been a PC guy.  Next time around I'm not sure which I'll go with.

Hi Pat - Great caption for a statue I've seen many times and wondered what it meant. Weeping at the state of things in general makes sense, but isn't anywhere as much fun as yours.

Pat,

Brilliant caption, and I agree with Dick on his take.  A

This is funny, Pat.  I can imagine her horror at finding the PC.  You gave me a great laugh.

Hi Pat! Perfect title for this photo! Although I don't think there's anything wrong with a PC!

Patricia-Are you sure she isn't just embarrassed by a youtube video from a recent indy film in which she played Lady Godiva?

Pat, you are too funny. Who knew that buying a PC could be such an emotional thing.

That is the very clever advice. I'll never be able look at such statues the same:)

I love it! ( no offense to peace lovers:)

Also, I wonder about likes. I added my like, it is #9. Why your blog is not featured? I have seen blogs with only 5 likes and few comments who were featured. Weird.

It is probably more a matter of amazement at who she wants to take her to the prom after showing her the senior scroll of students

Public art is often passed by as just background noise. You did a wonderful thing by showcasing this piece in your blog post so that more people will take notice of not just this beautiful work of art, but the many works in every city.

It looks ike a tablet, but not sure who made it -  Isn't PC texting for PiCasso?

Then there's the MAC - The Michael Angelo Company!
