Marilyn Monroe Overlooking DC's Woodley Park

Here is Marilyn, forever beautiful and forever young, staring down from her mural on the top two floors of Salon Roi, which is located in a 4-level brownstone on Connecticut Avnue just north of Calvert Street.  Marilyn has been here since 1980, when artist John Bailey painted it.  The mural was a 40th birthday present to salon owner, Roi Barnard.

Isn't it amazing that it has been all these years since Marilyn's death.  Yet, her presence is nearly as strong today, as it was even then.
