Pat Kennedy - Your Washington, DC Real Estate Connection

The Old Stone Bridge over Rock Creek

On any drive along Beach Drive in Rock Creek Park, the old stone bridge is a place where you have to slow down.  First, I always want to just stare at it for a few minutes.  Second, there is a sharp curve as it crosses the Creek.  This shot was taken by my Crestwood neighbor, Dorothy McGhee

It's beautiful Patricia. You should invite us out for a drive when were in town. Maybe do lunch too?

Hi Pat, That is certainly my style. I could see myself spending a good bit time at and on the bridge. Love it!

Well-crafted and interesting to look at! :) The elder who build it did well I think! :)

That's pretty quaint! I think I may have actually seen it a few years back while visiting my mom down in Temple Hills. I used to spend some time driving around seeing the sights.

As a kid I always imagined that as the eerie bridge to Dracula's castle.  Back in the woods.  Where you don't want to venture as kids...

Hey, we went back there all the time!  No Dracula, just a cool bridge.

This is indeed a very cool bridge!  And I can see little Jay climbing around the place as a kid.

I love it so much that I use a photo of it for my neighborhood newsletter masthead.
