I saw this driving home. Wow!

Today, I was driving home.  There was this tree.  And the sun was shining on the leaves.   And that song, "Autumn Leaves" started to go through my thoughts.

Every block or so. there is a really, really red tree.  And if you pass it at just the right time, it's just pure magic.

Oh, and the other magic?  I grabbed this one with my iPhone.

Hi Patricia, this is gorgeous , I wonder what is the name of the tree?  It reminds me of my neighbor's golden tree in the Summer.

You are so lucky to have beautiful fall colors. We don't get much color here in the Houston area. We go from green to brown in a matter of days, with little color in between. Beautiful photo, Patricia!

Red is in and matches your hair, no doubt why your eye was drawn, is my guess....LOL

That is pretty and magical.  I had a similar experience in the morning looking a few red trees.  They are so pretty.

Hi Pat, every so often I see a tree like that. And when the sun shines on it just right, the tree looks like it's on "fire". Very pretty!

And this is why I love this time of year. The changing of the leaves is something I never saw growing up in Arizona!

The maple tree in my front yard is finally beautiful.  It is a gorgeous red/orange.  I might post a photo of it!

Good Morning Pat, what a great picture. It is nice to see some color as all our trees and flowers have turned a "winter brokwn".  Have a great Thursday

Thanks for all of your comments!

I think this is a sugar maple, but I'm not sure.  There is something about the way the sun was hitting this late in the afternoon.  When I drove by today (it was really overcast), it was pretty, but not like this.
