Pat Kennedy - Your Washington, DC Real Estate Connection

Wordless Wednesday: this isn't a black and white shot!

This is a bridge over Rock Creek along the bicycle path.  I took it from the car (no, I wasn't driving) speeding along Beach Drive after a last week's snow.  It was a really, really gray day, and this was a color shot!

A very sweet, quaint winter photo. Love the shape of the bridge among all the trees/branches.

Patricia - ouch, really not much of a color. Gray. Take a vacation and go either to Hawaii, that you love, or to Florida Keys, that you will love

Yes, we have had the same gray overcast blah-ness that you have in your picture. Think Spring.

We have plenty of SNOWFREE property here in Florida but you better hurry because our prices are rising once again and our inventory is under 4 months.

Patricia,  this is a great shot.  We have been hearing about all the snow you all have had.   I have cousins in your area, and the kids are LOVING the snow, getting to sled, and all the things we do here in Colorado.  We do not have any snow now.

I sure don't miss those ugly gray winter days of New England, and this reminds me of that. But a beautiful photo in its own way.

WOW, great photo, really looks black and white, we don't have much of that here in Georgia, it is green and in the 50's today.

Just looking at that picture is making me cold! Beautiful though... But cold! :)

Hi Pat--I spent enough winters in Chicago to understand this gray and white wintry scene.  I think I need to post some Maui beach photos for all my mainland friends.

PAt: The photo is lovely. Amazing what we can capture in a speeding car! We had snow too, but not too much and it is the end of January. Spring will be here soon.

Yes, we've had some gray days like that lately here, too.  I can't wait until spring.  I hope it comes real soon.

There weren't bike paths or neat small bridges when I was growing up there.  We always rode on Beach Drive!

Very cool photo Pat, love the bridge............most of our winter days looks like they were shot in black and white in a photo.

Looks like a black ad white photo! Its pretty representative of what our New England winters look like. I like to think that spring is around the corner!

Hi Pat,

Oh those cold dreary winter days.  They always make spring such a welcome relief - to finally get color back.  Very cool pic.

Excellent shot and another good reason to have a camera in hand for those special moments.

Now that is a lovely winter scene. Thanks for capturing it to share with us. In TX we don't get snow very often, so this looks gorgeous to me. BTW- I am wearing shorts today its 74 degrees and its not even noon yet!

Patricia - Isn't it fascinating when scenes like that create the black and white feel.  I took a similar photo a couple of years ago.  The only color in my picture, was a kid in a red jacket, against the black and white of the snow scene.

Hi Patricia, Such days offer great opportunities for great photos like yours.  We have been spared the big snowfalls this season.
