Wordless Wednesday: Happy Hour at Ivor's

My sister and I were waiting for the next ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge Island when this little guy came to join us for Happy Hour at Ivor's.   No trip to Seattle is complete without a visit to, first, Active Rain Headquarters, and second, Ivor's Happy Hour.  Their oysters are legondary, and they have really cheap beer - with great stuff on tap.  I had a thick, dark local ale that was wonderful.

Hey!  Stay away from my oysters, You!

The little thieves!  We ate a brunch outside at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego once, they were right up on the terrace swiping waffles!

Great shot. I don't think I could've captured that if I had been a five minute warning that the bird would be landing exactly there.

Pat:

Hey seagulls always know where the good food is at. We had one outside our room in Pismo Beach on our recent trip. Turned out he was right. :)

Hi Pat... I bet this guy thought the oysters were for him.  That would make you a bird tease!  :-)

Seagulls are bold and will do anything to get the food! Great shot Pat!

Beautiful shot, terrible bird.  I hope I don't offend but having grown up by the ocean I pretty much see seagulls as the rats of the air.  I've had too many bad experiences with them, including a certain stole ice cream and bitten finger when I was five... that bitterness has not faded!

I have been to Seattle a number of times and missed out on Ivor's. I'll have to remedy that soon!

Pat, Great shot.  Did you have Ivor's salmon fish and chips?  Oh my, amazing!
