Pat Kennedy - Your Washington, DC Real Estate Connection

Friday Fotos: What I Woke Up To!

When I woke up to my first post-vacation Washington, DC morning, there was a little gift from Mother Nature!  She wanted to ensure that I wasn't left out of the snow scene here entirely.  We had a few inches on the ground and a lot in the funky old pine tree in my front yard.  Oh, and of course I needed a jump start on my car when I left for my first appointment!

Luckily, the neighbor who started my car must have shoveled my steps while he was doing his own!

I do not miss those winter storms! Moved to Arizona from Wisconsin 8 years ago and never looked back!

Oh the snow... we haven't had too much here this year... rained a bit, but only a day of snow.. and it was gone quickly..  Enjoy it while you can..

Amy has the right idea though... Thinking about getting back to the warmth...

Hi Pat-Welcome back-Big transition from sunny warm Hawaii to snow in Washington. I imagine you had a ball <SMILE>

Pat, Welcome back.  That is the one thing I remember about living in real winter weather - people are willing to help with a jump or a push in the white stuff!

I only had to broom off the sidewalk and driveway!  Easy peasy.

This white stuff sucks. I have had plenty and I can not wait for spring.

What a shock coming from Hawaii.  I have the opposite.  Europe is now snowed in and we are in the 70s.

Pat:  I'm glad you got to see some of this winter weather.  DC never seems to get enough snow, at least in my opinion.

We're sure not in Hawaii anymore Pat. I think this may be a cold winter so I suppose we ought to get used to the white stuff. It is a good change of pace I think.

Quite the transition from Hawaii.  I bet you were longing for those gorgeous sunsets.  Welcome back.  Stay warm.

That white stuff is not welcome here. You can have it.

Hi Pat ~ What a wacky winter huh? Beautiful picture. Hopefully you won't get much - a few inches is always pretty.

I'm sorry, Pat - I just had to giggle with this one!  You want from warm, beautiful, sunny beaches to this.  It's COLD!

There's something about snow on pine or fir branches - maybe that's why they sell flocked Christmas trees. :)

Hi Pat!  Welcome back to life away from paradise!  It was 17 degrees here in Dallas when I left for the office this morning!

That's a great foto. It's looking like we may get some flurries here in Central Florida tomorrow. To us that's a big deal. The last time it snowed in Central Florida (that I can remember) was in 1989.

Patricia - Nothing says welcome home to the snow like needing to jump start your car.  Stay Warm!

Looks very different from Huwaiian landscape. And temperature are quite different, too. As one great guys said, nature does not have bad weather, Every weather has its own beauty. I do not believe it, and that;s why I am in Florida, but these days it is not a big consolation even in Florida.

Missing vacation yet? Airport is only a few miles away, Oregon is a great vacation spot. We have a little bit of everything, 1 hour to snow, 1 hour to beach and lots and lots to do... and maybe a 10% chance of snow.

Pat, I should have such a nice neighbor!  Here they shovel to exactly their line and don't go an INCH over it--even if they have snowblowers.  Goodness, I used to shovel my elderly neighbors out.  I've had enough snow to last.........forever :)!
