This mural is on the side of my favorite bookstore, Politics and Prose on Connecticut Avenue. They have a large collection of both fiction and non-fiction, as well as great historical stuff about Washington, DC's rich history.

Pretty interesting mural; lots of action brings a reader back to look at the picture a number of times.
Are you "oopsing" because it's not Wednesday or because it's not wordless? I bet the kids love this, it's got lots of fun characters.
I love the whimsical look of this mural, especially the dog walking on his front paws! Thanks for sharing that Pat!
It is adorable. Who painted it?
Tom, it's right by where I part my car when I go there, so I get to see it a lot, and you always notice something different!
Ann, I am a scofflaw about the wordless thing, so the oops is that I thought it was Wednesday. Du-uh!
Wanda, the dog is pretty cute!
And Jane, now I'll have to ask about the artist! My neice is a mural artist in Portland, so I should pay more attention to this stuff!
I might be someone famous!
Pat-
I love it - thanks for sharing!!!
Pat - I like the mural but I think I found Waldo. Cheers !
Pat: I have been really screwed up with the days of the week this week too. This is a really neat one for Wordless Wednesday. Very cute.
Pat,
Much too serene for DC. Even for a Wednesday wannabe.

Pat - Love the mural...kinda brings the kid out in me....and also because it's on the street named after my state.
Ahh, the old Wordless Wednesday on Thursday gaff!
Not to worry, happens all the time in my world!
Hi Pat ~ Sounds like my kind of bookstore! Since I started walking around with a camera I've been paying much more attention to murals and have loads of pictures to post sometime. Funny - I didn't realize it wasn't Wednesday until you mentioned.

What a wonderful way to make someone want to come explore what the bookstore has to offer!
Pat, The mural seems to dance to a beat of it's own, doesn't it? Full of whimsy...a thumbs up from me:)
Hi Pat, very pretty. Thanks for sharing!
Pat, Great name for a bookstore and a great way to pull one's attention to the store with such a great mural! Get's the imagination going before you are even in the store. (Gloria)
Pat,
The art is very cool. I like it too.
Pat, I love the mural. Just wish I'd known about it when I was living in the area a few years ago.
Pat I love murals.. this one is no exception. It is a dying art form to be sure and it is nice to see they still exist.
That's a cool mural, Pat. Like Joan above, I like murals, too. This has so much going on. I'm glad it engages the "reader". :)
Patricia,
It is a form of art that makes places look very interesting. Used wisely, it is a way of making cities look nicer
Patricia - That's a neat mural that depicts wonderful fantasy and where the imagination can dwell!
Pat, What a great mural. You see more the longer you look at it. I'm partial to the striped dinosaur with wings. I'll bet the bookstore is a fun one too.
That is a fantastic piece of art.
We have a few here, I will have to get the camera warmed up :)
your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!

Pat I think the mural was perfect for a bookstore. There was a time I could not pass a bookstore without spending money. That was when I read several books per week.
Pat,
Thanks for sharing this. I'll look for it next time. Very colorful and nice. :)
