Ha! I missed this the first time around, Patricia. Thanks so much for the reblog. EVERY American should see this!
Nothing surprises me with these policitians anymore.
THIS IS PRICELESS!!! Besides the people playing solitaire it looks like the others are surfing the net and not paying any attention at all! Hmmm...now I am beginning to worry a bit more!
Yep those are our hard working elected officials. Scary isn't it?
LoL! Priceless!
Priceless indeed ! Great re-blog ! This is the first time I have seen this photo !
Hi Pat... this would be hysterically funny if it wasn't true. I suspect the people playing solitaire already had their minds made up... like many Americans.
Pat,
Wow. Nobody has Active Rain up on their screen.
Rich
Hello Pat. This is tooo scary. Thanks for sharing!
Suspicions confirmed. These people are getting paid way too much money.
That was a great photo. It was the Connecticut legislature in that photo not the the Congress of the US. Could well have been though...
According to Michell Malkin, a Connecticut House Democrat spokesman sent the following statement to Fox News Channel regarding this:
"Our members have discussed and debated the state budget for seven months, culminating in yesterday's marathon, 13 hour budget session. With little new ground being broken, and the results of the upcoming vote a reasonable certainty, a momentary diversion is understandable. Both representatives insist there was no intent to disrespect the minority leader during his presentation."
It WAS disrespectful you bunch of !@##$(#(&% and if you don't realize that, then GET THE HECK OUT OF PUBLIC SERVICE!!
GOTTA love government folk...wow...
I'm glad to see the CT lawmakers are EXCEPTIONAL at multi-tasking, it gives me renewed hope that they can handle the complexities of creating and amending laws! If I am banned from using my cell phone or laptop in a doctor's office, one would think that perhaps the same thing should apply if you gather 50-100 lawmakers in a room who are trying to craft legislation. I can't wait to see what the next generation (coined digital natives) will be like when they grow up.
How many times have I been to a boring meeting with my laptop shopping for shoes???? in my old business (Insurance Broker) the CE's were free, you just had to show up and sign in and out. What a great time to shop, or catch up on emails.
Too funny and I thought only REALTORS sitting the duty desk played solitaire!!!
Pat - Very funny and speaks loudly about what may be going on in more places than we know. Cheers !
Very nice - that's a great picture and perfect caption
Love the picture and love the caption. Don't love the implications. These are the people we place out trust in?
Great picture, This one is worth thousands of words. I wonder what their constituents think?
Eye opening. This is pathetic. Solitaire.
I'm surprised it wasn't Bejeweld, Mafia Wars, Farmville, or worse...Porn!
Patricia, That is just hysterically funny.....you have to wonder though. If they are twitttering during the State of the Union address, why wouldn't they be playing solitaire?!! Too funny!
I hate to see it and say it, but I suppose that is a real photo? At least it seems nobody was at a porn site.
And you said that politicians aren't hard working people who don't deserve what they are paid- Shame on you guys-LMAO. Great post Pat.
Oh, too good! Yet this behavior is supposedly good enough for a pay raise every year?
An employee could GET FIRED for doing this instead of work
