My parents had this family portait taken when we lived in Williamsburg, Kentucky, a pretty little town on the Cumberland River near the Tennessee boarder. I was three years old, and my brother, Jack, was not quite two. The picture now sits in a frame in my mother's house, and it brought back memories of of a very carefree time in life. We lived in a little white house on the outskirts of town, with a huge cherry tree and a field of daisies next door. On the other side, there was a chicken farm owned by P.R. Jones - who kept us in baby chicks and fresh eggs.
Jack is much better looking today.

Hi Pat ~ Thanks so much for sharing this -it's just dear. And it's amazing - so often I can't see the resemblance in someone's baby or childhood picture - but I could have picked you out of a crowd. Adorable!

Pat - I love old family photos. They always have a story to tell. This one tells me of a happy time. Very cute.
Hi Pat- what a wonderful family and childhood memory you must have. Back when life was simple; ah-h-h the good old days.
Pat - and the dimple is still there :) Karen
Pat - So, your interest in chickens began somewhere around the age of 3. ;-)
Great family photo. You have your Mom's features.
I can see the beautiful to your mom! I love those family pictures.
That's a great photo Pat. when my dad passed a few years ago, I came across a whole bunch of family photos similar to the one you posted. Those too brought back many memories of a care-free time...

Oh my you really look just like that little girl! How sweet - thanks for sharing Pat. We have many photos like this one and sometimes it's nice to take a walk down memory lane.
Hi Pat, I loved your description of the little white house in Kentucky...those were, as they say, the good ol'days! Life was much simpler and carefree.... but then we were kids! LOL!!
Pat--That is so your smile! Your brother was adorable in that photo...hard to get a two-year-old to sit AND smile! Thanks for sharing your memories!

Pat what a great photo. I have one of my family that I thought about posting awhile back. Might have to scan it and bring it out for a future speechless day.
Pat: Now I see what inspired Liz Loadholt. How precious are you? Look at those curls! Your brother looks like a cabbage patch baby. I love this! Hope your brother is doing well.

Hi Pat,
What a nice family photo. Sounds like you lived in a picture perfect place growing up and you cracked me up with "Jack is much better looking today"! LOL
You actually haven't changed much. Amazing.
Hi Pat, that is a great photo, sure does bring back thoughts of a different time. Nostalgia is so bittersweet. And by the way, you look the same!
Hi Pat... what a great family picture. As a young girl I think you looked more like your mom, and now, as an adult, I see a lot of your dad's features in your face. What wonderful memories it must bring back to you!
Lovely family portrait. I believe it would look good on my blog!!
Patricia,
I had no idea you was from so close to home. I am actually from that area myself. I grew up in Somerset, Ky. When I used to work on the ambulance I started in Corbin/London, then went to work for Whitley County EMS. It is such a beautiful area, even though it is much the same down here in Knoxville I still miss it. Well . . .thats enough reminessing, back to work i guess.
What a wonderful family photo! I can just see you having cute little carrot top hair!!!! Thanks for sharing!
