Yesterday's foray to an upper Montgomery County Christmas tree farm was a bit of a bust, but the hunt was actually successful in the end.
On the way to my formerly favorite tree farm, I passed a bunch of lots. One had this really cute little flirty guy on the front porch who, as I sped by toward the competition, seemed to call out "No! Stop here!"
And on the way home, I did.
This was a small family operation. They had trees from Pennsylvania that had been cut down a few days ago. They looked (and smelled) fresh and healthy, and they were beautifully shaped. And I bought one.
Like a lot of my buyers, I looked at a bunch of trees (each had to be unwrapped) and bought the first one that I'd seen.
So if you want a gorgeous tree at a reasonable price, go introduce yourself to Nancy Webb, who, with her son and grandson runs the operation. They are located in Poolesville, Maryland 22900 White Ferry Road.
And here's the tree, not quite fully decorated yet. With another bunch of ornamets and the Christmas tree angel on the top, it will look quite amazing!
