Uploading Photo Files to AR on a Mac

Earlier this evening, I was trying to upload a photo to Active Rain.  I made myself nuts!   I carefully followed the directions I found in some other postings, and it didn't work.  In a fit of desperation, I posted a cry for help, and here's the thing! 

I got a reply suggesting that it might be my browser.  I was using Safari.  I opened up AR in Firefox, followed the directions, and it worked like a charm.
